We had an old, unstable PHP-based website with no blog or social functionality. Rock Pixel Scissors quickly built a WordPress-based blog with seamless integration and a similar look and feel. While doing this, RPS also stabilized the main PHP site, eliminating our site outages and reducing overall site performance issues.”

Guild vs Agency: What’s the difference?
Service-wise, not much. We are a multi-talented team of people who enjoy collaborating and supporting each other on a variety of projects…And, we are all independent freelancers who work separately as well.
Combined, we represent over 4 decades in web and digital marketing. From SEO to Ecommerce, and Flash to NOT Flash, we’ve seen a lot of technology come and go.
And, since we’ve been working from home since before it became trendy, we can save you money by keeping overhead low.
Since you will be working and communicating with the actual people doing the work, we save you time by eliminating layers and confusion.
Since we tailor the team to your project’s needs, you are not paying for extra staff.
We also wear big fancy robes and hats, and exchange cryptic secrets about our crafts while sipping mead.
Indeed, we very much like this aspect of being in the guild.
History
While the team members themselves have been fixing and buildig websites since the 90s, Rock, Pixel, Scissors as an entity was founded in 2010 by experienced digital marketers, Dan Lynch & Bob Lodi.
They noted that fancy offices equal more overhead and they didn’t want to pass the cost of loft ceilings and ping pong tables and hammocks on to their clients.
Ahead of the curve, Dan & Bob created a virtual team that allowed independent contractors to work together on the same projects from any location, coast to coast.
Shortly thereafter, Bob’s wife Liz joined the guild to handle everything from graphics and PhotoShop to HTML emails and website production.
Later on, Karen Callahan joined forces with RPS and became the guild’s wizard developer with the hat to prove it. Karen brought her experience in programming to the team creating custom code and solid WordPress builds for clients big and small.
In 2020 Jennifer Kusiak came on as a Herder of Cats. Jenn specializes in ecommerce, website integrations and educating clients on how to use their digital marketing tools.
Additional guild members are available as needed to handle content, social media, web development and customizing, and more.
Today, the guild continues to grow under Bob’s leadership, designing and building and fixing—and making websites work.
…and we don’t charge extra for our fancy hats.
